Arjun Nair stood tall near a half-painted whiteboard in his office. His brown skin glowed under the bright lights, his silky hair neatly styled, and his muscular frame at ease as he painted with quiet focus. In one hand, he held a paintbrush; in the other, a palette. Around him lay painting supplies — jars of color, water, and spare brushes. Calmly, he worked on the image of a fierce wolf.
Suddenly, without knocking, Sana Mehra burst in. Confident and bold, she carried herself with poise, dressed in a tight-fitting bodycon dress. Her fair skin and sleek ponytail added to her striking appearance.
“Sir, today’s schedule is—” she began.
Arjun didn’t even look up. He sensed her presence and spoke in a cold, firm tone,“Miss Sana Mehra, learn some basics. This is not your home — knock before you enter my office. And just because I bedded you once, that doesn't mean you act like a bitch. Get out, and send Vikas. It’s his job to update me. Out!”
Flushed and embarrassed, Sana stammered a quiet apology and left.
Moments later, Vikas, Arjun’s personal assistant, arrived.
“Sir, today’s schedule: a meeting with the clients at 10:30 a.m, lunch with a board member at 1 p.m and a site visit at 4 p.m. That’s everything.”
Arjun nodded. “Fine. Remind me at 10:15. And bring my coffee and the files for signing.”

Nayra had come in early to finish her pending work. She sat at her computer, pen in hand, focused on the screen. Just then, her project manager Vidyut appeared.
“Nayra, come to the canteen with me — I need your opinion on something,” he called, already walking away.
She followed him obediently.
“Had breakfast?” Vidyut asked casually.
“No, not yet,” Nayra replied.
“Good, let’s eat,” he said.
They collected their breakfast and sat down.
“So, what do you need my opinion on?” Nayra asked.
Vidyut sighed. “We need to submit designs for a wedding convention. Sana gave me the file, but the client keeps rejecting every idea. We only have ten days left. Nobody is helping me. You’re new here, but this is your chance to prove yourself. Will you take this up?”
“Me? But how—” Nayra began, worried.
“Come on, you’re from a village, right? You know traditional wedding styles. We tried every modern design and failed. Now you try something cultural.”
“Three different concepts? In just ten days?” Nayra asked, alarmed.
“Yes. Three complete designs. That’s my order,” Vidyut insisted, standing up to leave. “Good luck!”
Nayra sighed dramatically. “Three concepts in ten days? God help me!”
------------
Over the next ten days, Nayra threw herself into the challenge. She called her mother and grandmother for cultural wedding inspiration and worked day and night, sketching, researching, and revising.
At the end of ten days, she had three completed design concepts in her hands.
-------------
After 10days
“Nayra, do you have the designs ready?” Vidyut rushed into her workspace.
“Yes, here — these are the files,” she replied, exhausted but proud.
“Good — you’ll present them,” Vidyut said briskly.
“What?! No way, I can’t!” Nayra protested.
“Nayra, these are your concepts. I can’t explain them. Be ready — the meeting is in 45 minutes,” he declared, ignoring her protests as he walked away.
Nayra sank back in her chair, groaning. “This Vidyut! Why me?!”

In Arjun's office
“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND, IDIOT?” Arjun thundered, glaring at Sana.
“Sir, actu—” Sana tried to speak.
“SHUT UP!” Arjun barked. “The client keeps rejecting designs, and you’re only telling me now? They could have pulled the entire project!”
“No, sir — we kept trying to satisfy them, but they refused everything. I asked Vidyut for help, and he said the new designs are ready for today’s meeting,” Sana explained, trembling slightly.
Arjun narrowed his eyes. “And if they reject these too? Then what?”
“Please, sir — let’s try. The meeting is about to begin,” Sana pleaded.
Arjun sighed with frustration. “This is the last time, Ms. Sana. Don’t you dare take decisions without me. This is my company, not yours. Understood?”
“Yes, sir,” Sana said quietly.
Moments later, they left for the meeting room.
_____________
The conference room felt enormous to Nayra. The long polished table, the high-backed leather chairs, the large presentation screen — everything made her palms sweat.
Vidyut gave her a reassuring nod as she stepped in, carrying her design folders. Across the table, Arjun Nair sat with an expression carved from stone, his cold brown eyes watching every move. Sana was at his side, avoiding eye contact. She is scared,It's her first time being here for presentation that too infront of her boss!
Clients began filing in, murmuring in low tones. Nayra tried to steady her breathing.
"Sir she is Nayra newly joined in company three months ago, She designed three different concepts that too in 10days", Vidyut Said proudly
“Ms. Nayra,” Arjun said flatly, “you’re the one presenting?”
She swallowed hard. “Yes, sir.”
“Good. Let’s see if your work is worth my time,” he said, leaning back in his chair.
Nayra took a deep breath, clicked her presentation on, and began.
“This first concept is inspired by traditional South Indian weddings, with rich mandap decorations, floral canopies, and a temple-style backdrop…”
She moved to the second design.
“The next concept is drawn from Rajasthani culture, with royal arches, mirror-work panels, and vibrant colors to give a majestic palace feel…”
Then the third.
“Finally, a concept based on Bengali wedding traditions, with white and red themes, floral rangoli patterns, and traditional alpona designs…”
She showed the sketches and color palettes, explained the logistics, the construction estimates, and the cultural details. Despite her fear, she found her voice growing steadier.
When she finished, the room fell silent.
Arjun’s eyes studied her for a long moment. Finally, one of the senior clients spoke.
“These are… excellent,” the client said. “Exactly what we were hoping for — rooted in culture, but fresh. We should proceed with these.”
Relief flooded Nayra’s body so quickly she nearly staggered.
Arjun turned to Sana with a glare. “You see, Ms. Sana, this is why we hire people with a brain.” Then he looked back at Nayra, a faint — almost invisible — hint of approval in his eyes.
“Good job,” he said shortly. “We’ll proceed with these concepts. Vidyut, get the teams moving.”
Vidyut nodded, smiling proudly at Nayra.
“Meeting dismissed,” Arjun announced, standing up and leaving the room without another word
